Harold Speaking

Harold Haugh believes:

- Michgan needs to reduce spending on all issues and live within the budgetary constraints on the reduced revenues that are currently being developed.

- Michigan need to revisit the MBT and SBT to assist the Michigan manufacturers and the small business associations and business world in Michigan. Our state's requirements should not make Michigan anti-competitive at any level.

- Michigan needs to lower the taxes on our manufacturing industry and revisit the tax abatement structure in this state. Too much pressure is placed on local communities to make the tough decisions and reduce their tax base.

- We need to benchmark against Ohio, Indiana and Wisconsin. Benchmarks are a part of recognition at the local and county levels and should be implemented in Michigan.
